Primer Coats

Offered in white grey or black as standard. Using a water-bourne industrial primer for wood offered in internal and external use systems.

The use of primer generates better adhesion between top coat and substrate whilst hiding some imperfections.

Cost effective compared to two layers of top coat.

Material can be finished on-site. Ideal when needing to apply a range of coating options.

Curtain Coating

Available for a wide range of applications, our curtain coating system offers a uniform coating application for projects where finish and visual application are important. Our standard product offer is a semi-gloss waterborne industrial coating system for internal and external use. We offer over 100 standard colours and can bespoke mix to RAL numbers on larger projects. Popular uses include hoarding panels, high traffic joinery applications, durable coating applications. We can also offer bespoke finishes and sheen levels dependant upon your project requirements.

Roller Applied

Roller application coating is used to offer a high-quality finish on flat panels. This system allows the application of coating that would not be suitable for a curtain coating system. We offer roller applied coatings for a range of uses with a core product range including UV coating and stippled coating. This is used within the anti-slip and flooring market to provide a highly durable finish with the added benefit of reducing health and safety risks. We can offer a wide range of colours and finishes dependant upon your project requirements.

From small bespoke runs that require a small volume of product but a high-quality finish to large project runs with patterned or uneven surfaces spray coating will cover your project need. Working closely with a wide range of paint manufactures we can offer both water and solvent-based systems to cover your project needs from basic barn black staining to high quality French polishing systems for high end joinery items.

Nitrocellulose paint systems

Mainly used in high quality and quick drying lacquer systems

Polyurethane paint systems

We can coat any type of plywood with clear UV lacquer to matt, satin or gloss sheen levels.

Fully controlled linear spray line. Factory applied coatings offer a high quality finish.

Also available: birch plywood pre-lacquered direct from the plywood mill.

Sanded to 400 grit with three coats of UV cured lacquer applied, resulting in a smooth medium gloss finish (35% sheen)

Fire-Retardant Treatment

& Maintaining Coatings

We can fire treat to Euro Class B s1,d0, using specified, internationally approved products

under ISO 9001 specification

Fire Retardancy Maintaining Lacquer System

Contra-Burn Lacquer in ultra matt, satin or gloss. This maintains the EN13501-1 s1, d0 fire rated standard that is required in most new projects.

Contra-Burn treated plywood behaves like a sponge, so the structure is receptive to the lacquer, where the cell fibres absorb the lacquer, making it penetrate deeper, providing a tough, durable seal, that protects the plywood from the inside out.
