Thermally Fused Laminate (TFL) Decorative Panels, formerly known as thermally fused melamine (TFM), are made by fusing a resin-impregnated sheet of décor paper directly to a substrate. Heat and pressure activate the resin in the saturated TFL sheet creating a cross-linked bond with the substrate. This effectively seals the substrates so that the decorative surface will not delaminate. TFL decorative surfaces are intended for interior applications where a medium impact, decorative wear and stain resistant surface is required.
