Origin
Elliotis pine, or slash pine, is a medium to a large coniferous tree native to the southern United States and is one of three southern yellow pines. A mature tree can reach 100 ft and can live for up to 200 years. The slash pine is often mistaken for Pinus taeda (loblolly pine) but can be differentiated by needle abundance and length, cones and bark.
Application
Panels overlaid with medium-density overlay(MDO) to provide a smooth surface, ideal to be used as concrete form shuttering boards. These panels will last twice longer than regular mill oiled panels and also give a much smoother concrete surface.
Description
Coniferous plywood elliottis is produced from the veneer of coniferous wood. Specifically, the Elliottis pine found primarily in Brazil. The sheets are glued with phenol-formaldehyde glue. It differs from birch plywood mainly by the thicker veneer and smaller number of layers. Coniferous plywood has a beautiful surface structure and recently has become a favourite material for interior work.
