All Noah’s Okoume plywood is European made, meets BS1088 standard and is Lloyd’s certified and is available in 48” x 98.5”and 60” x 122”.

Okoume is a light weight, very soft plywood that is primarily used for marine applications. The colour is light brown to pink and the grain patterns tend to be large curves throughout the sheet. It has 1mm face veneers and equal or nearly equal core laminations with water and boil proof (WBP) glue. While Okoume is not as impact and rot resistant as Meranti or Sapele, it is about 10 to 15% lighter in weight and easier to bend. Okoume is ideal for kayaks and small boats particularly when coated with epoxy and/or fiberglass. For best finished results use Varnish or Epifanes 2 part Polyurethane over Epoxy.
