XUZHOU MEGA is a special brand of fire-retardant plywood. It is a low flammable material, preventing spread of fire on the surface, having a medium smoke-generating capacity and securing a moderate emission of hazardous substance into the air when burning. Fireproof plywood is a product of heightened water resistance due to being glued with phenol-formaldehyde resin. It complies with the requirements to the quality of bonding of Exterior birch plywood and can be exposed to moisture without losing its properties for a considerable amount of time.

All layers of veneer used for production of fire-rated plywood under the brand XUZHOU MEGA are impregnated with flame retardant. Thus, the product complies with the highest level of fire safety. More than that, fire-retardant plywood from Russian manufacturer Plyterra does not require additional treatment when machined or cut-to-size. As a rule, XUZHOU MEGA is 100 % birch plywood, but to meet the customer’s preferences on weight, density and other physical and mechanical properties of plywood, the fireproof panels can be produced with veneer of other deciduous woods.

At the same time, for the projects with more flexible requirements we offer fire rated plywood having only face veneers impregnated with flame retardant. This method of production of fire-rated plywood is very popular among the manufacturers of plywood in Europe. This solution has good fireproof properties but this technology of production reduces the cost of the final product.

Certificates of internationally recognized experts acknowledge the high quality of the fire-retardant plywood produced at Plyterra Group plywood mills as well as its compliance to explosion safety requirements. Another advantage of the fireproof plywood is insecticidal and antifungal treatment of veneer. XUZHOU MEGA FR (Flame Retardant/Fire Retardant), Euroclass B -s1, d0 panels developed for use in situations that demand Euroclass B fire performance of flame-retardant boards to meet building regulations.

The area of application of fire-retardant plywood is rather wide. The fireproof panels are mostly used in construction, transport engineering, railway coaches manufacturing, subway cars manufacturing and shipbuilding as well as other areas where fire rated plywood is applicable.

On customer’s request, the fire-retardant plywood can be overlaid with protective coating based on resin HPL or fiberglass.
